Meetings

Our meeting location has been changed. We are now meeting at the Atlanta St. Joseph's Hospital, 5665 Peachtree Dunwody Rd. Atlanta, GA 30342. The hospital is located very close to I-285 and is very easy to find.

We meet every month on the second Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM, except in July and August. Our December meeting is usually a "holiday party" and place and date will be scheduled at least four weeks in advance.

North Carolina Conference
April 8-9, 2010
A conference for laryngecomtees, caregivers and clinicians is slated for April 8-9, 2010 at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. The seminar is co-sponsored by the UNC Health Care Center, Department of Otolaryngology and the North Carolina Straight Talkers laryngectomee suport club. Dr. Eric Blum, SLP will be the keynote luncheon speaker. Also speaking are Julian Rosenman, MD and Mark Weissler, MD. The seminar also includes a two hour hands-on clinic for SLPs for which 1.6 CEU's can be earned. More about: NC Annual Conference

IAL 2010 Annual Meeting and Voice Institute
June 16 - 19, 2010
The 2010 International Laryngectomy Association Convention will be held in Louisville KY. The convention hotel is The Holiday Inn Clarksville, IN. The hotel is one block west of I-65 and 1 mile North of the Ohio River. The hotel is in the Louisville, KY metro area. I feel that the 2010 IAL Convention will be a great opportunity to come to a beautiful part of America. The hotel is easy to get to and affordable for most everyone. Louisville KY is within driving distance of most of the eastern US.
